Description

Australian Chestnut is a blend of species originating in East Gippsland.  Messmate is the most

prominent species found in Chestnut making up approximately 75%.

Australian Wormy Chestnut is a particularly unique timber. It is sourced from trees affected by bush fires and attacked by insects. The end result is a timber where no two pieces are the same. It is characterised by deep gum veins formed from fire and its signature feature, squiggly worm marks.
